SRT Selected As A Defense Innovation Challenge Finalist
DAYTON, OHIO, December 2, 2024 – Smart Response Technologies (SRT) announced today that the firm has been selected as a finalist in the Defense Innovation Challenge, the nation’s largest innovation matchmaking program connecting cutting-edge, early-stage technologies with the Department of Defense and federal funding. Finalists are invited to showcase their technologies to the nation’s top military, industry, and investment leaders at the Defense TechConnect Innovation Summit and Expo in Austin, TX, December 3-5, where government and industry customers are seeking top emerging technologies across most domains, with a special interest in innovations with dual-use industry and government applications.
SRT’s CEO Roger Mann will present Fleet Maintenance Center and Drydock AI/ML Optimizer on Wednesday, December 4. His talk will highlight a live “closed caption” radio transcription for fleet maintenance center and drydock site communications that alerts on keywords related to safety or supply chain issues and tracks completion/deviations from maintenance checklists. SRT’s Delphini AI/ML Optimizer recommends prioritized tasks to shorten time in drydock.
Specially designed with emergency call takers and dispatchers in mind, Delphini is an affordable ground-breaking AI cloud-based SaaS platform that provides multiple channel monitoring using a simplified dashboard to deliver real-time updated information through live radio and 911 call speech-to-text transcription that displays on consoles, tablets, and smartphones. Developed by SRT in cooperation with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base using a $5M federal investment, Delphini is the patented solution to eliminating miscommunication and missed communication, revolutionizing emergency call centers nationwide. The subscription platform is proven to increase audio comprehension by 70% and communications effectiveness by 55%, while enhancing accuracy in transcribing and improving the efficiency and timeliness of coordinated responses to the highest priority incidents. As a result, dispatchers gain confidence and competence, which helps to dramatically reduce stress and burnout on the job. SRT has exclusive commercial licensing rights to Delphini and markets the product nationwide.
Mann said, “Being named a finalist in the Defense Innovation Challenge is a tremendous honor. It reflects our team’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation in the service of national security and public safety. This recognition underscores the impact of our work and motivates us to continue developing solutions that empower the defense industry and contribute to a safer, more secure future.”
