Smart Response Technologies Wins Ignite Grant
Smart Response Technologies is proud to announce we are one of the winners of the IGNITE Startup Grant program, as revealed by Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chair Deshundra Jefferson at the annual Make Your Mark Business Community Celebration. This esteemed entrepreneurial program, pivotal for scaling startups and high-growth businesses, provides vital education, funding, and networking opportunities.
Each winning company was awarded $100,000 to support their innovative endeavors.
“We are thrilled to welcome new faces and recognize the achievements of businesses making a significant impact on our community,” said Jefferson. “This IGNITE Startup Grant cohort is an impressive group of innovative companies across diverse industries.”
Headquartered in Manassas, Smart Response Technologies has developed Delphini™, a cloud-based intelligence software for first responders aimed at eradicating miscommunication and missed communication. It leverages a patented real-time AI engine to deliver live radio and 911 call transcription.
Initially funded by the CARES Act in 2020, the IGNITE program awarded grants totaling $600,000 in 2021 and 2022. Relaunched in 2023 with ARPA funding, the program introduced a new award category of up to $100,000, along with updated criteria ensuring applicants are outside the NOVA EDA region, maintaining a commitment to regional partners.
“Our team has gained invaluable insights from our pilot program, and this cohort stands out for their novel technologies and sound business practices,” said Christina Winn, Executive Director of the Prince William County Department of Economic Development and Tourism. “From starting a small business program in 2019 to celebrating with over 200 business owners at our annual event, this program has been a cornerstone in establishing our entrepreneurial community.”
Smart Response wishes to congratulate the other winners of the grant, The Spaceport Company and Polaris Genomics, for their innovation and commitment to technology and science.
